Frequently Asked Questions
What prior experience is required?
Basic playing experience and the ability to work independently on a piece are sufficient. The content and areas of focus are adapted individually to each pianist’s level.
What level are the Intensive Programs suitable for?
The Intensive Programs are suitable for pianists at different levels – from advanced beginners to experienced and professional musicians. What matters most is having a specific musical goal to work towards.
Does the repertoire need to be fully prepared beforehand?
No. Pieces that are still in the learning process are equally suitable for the Intensive Programs. Depending on the stage of preparation, the focus may vary between technical foundations, practice strategies, sound, musical shaping and interpretation.
Are the Intensive Programs available online or in person?
Both options are available. Coaching sessions can take place online or in person in Munich. The preferred format is arranged individually when submitting the request.
How does the 3-Week Focus Program work?
The program begins with a 60-minute individual coaching session in which the current stage of preparation is assessed and specific musical or technical areas of focus are defined.
During the following practice phase, a previously agreed excerpt is recorded and personally reviewed. Based on this, the next steps are adjusted accordingly.
A second 60-minute coaching session is used to deepen the work, review progress and define the next steps for continued development.
How does the 10-Week Repertoire Intensive work?
Over the course of ten weeks, five individual 60-minute coaching sessions take place. Technical and musical areas of focus are developed step by step and continuously refined.
Between coaching sessions, the work in progress is reviewed through agreed excerpts. The feedback is incorporated into the next stage of work, creating a structured process that is individually adapted throughout the program.
What technical equipment is required for online coaching?
An acoustic piano, grand piano or digital piano with weighted keys is required, together with a stable internet connection and a smartphone, tablet or computer.
A clear view of the keyboard and hands is sufficient. Additional audio equipment is not required.
When is payment due?
Payment is only required once the Intensive Program and the agreed dates have been confirmed.
